Lush has always channeled its love for the Earth and its people into its heart-filled products, with the ethos that happy people make happy products. In 2010 Lush decided to take a step further and move beyond simply buying fairly traded ingredients and, instead, develop supportive partnerships with the communities that produce them – and so, the SLush Fund was born.

From the total cost of all raw materials and packaging spent by Lush, 2% of the value is donated to the SLush Fund which is used to establish sustainable farming and community projects.

The premise of the Slush Fund is the permaculture movement which is designed to offer sustainable alternatives to conventional agriculture practices – it is based on the values of caring for the earth, caring for people, and fair share.

The SLush Fund currently supports 32 projects in 19 different countries, and Lush has developed the Lush Pot in which seven of its key ingredients are derived from SLush Fund-ed communities. So not only does the Lush Pot have a richly moisturizing effect on your hands and body, but it also supports the SLush Fund communities that helped produce the yummy lotion.

The Lush Pot is made up of seven ingredients grown from our Slush Funded projects – here are some of the ingredients that make the Lush Pot good for you and for the SLush communities.
